The PST Non Heated Single Set Roller Press offers increased productivity for users of the Super Spacer product at a very low capital cost. This single (1) set press is the best equipment for the high speed production of insulating glass units using the Super Spacer product.
FEATURES
The Non Heated Single Set Roller Press has an 84” width with a single set of compression rolls. The foot print size of 112” Width x 48” depth is constructed from superior quality components to ensure low maintenance cost and long service life.
MECHANICAL FEATURES
The PST Non Heated Single Set Roller Press unit features cast iron pillow blocks with a frame that is fabricated from heavy tubular steel, strong steel weldments and compression rolls that are covered with a precision ground vulcanized nitrile.
SPECIFICATIONS
The PST Non Heated Single Set Roller Press drive is equipped with a fixed speed motor drive gearbox operating at 18 fpm. The sprocket set is included to enable press to be changed to operate at 16 fpm or 20 fpm.
The PST Non Heated Single Set Roller Press operates on 110 volt, single phase, 60 cycle electrical power and may be provided with an optional electronic DC variable speed drive package. The top compression roll is height adjustable to establish desired operating spacing between top and bottom rolls. The top compression roll is adjustable by acme screw and nut drive whch easily and smoothly elevates or lowers the roll to the height setting.
The powered intake and out take conveyor system is built into the press and the speed of the conveyors matches the speed of the compression rollers. Each conveyor consists of three (3) rolls of donut rollers mounted on powered heavy duty shafts.
The PST Non Heated Single Set Roller Press's top compression roller height spacer thickness (top compression roller height) is adjusted via a hand crank & acme thread mechanism. The position of the compression roller height is established with the use of a linear encoder mounted on a digital read out head which is in turn secured to the compression roll bearing assembly. The digital encoder reads compression roller gap (spacer thickness 0) within .005 inches.
